A Gilbie Roberts’ client success story!

ASK, who started out as the brainchild of three innovative engineers, is now widely known as an award-winning, quickly growing, ambitious firm, delivering electrical and mechanical solutions to industry throughout the UK and further afield.  

We’ve had the pleasure of advising and supporting the business since August 2016 and whilst working side by side, the growth of both businesses has been an exciting one!

ASK Engineering Solutions Limited was formed in October 2015 by Ken Gardiner, Adam Devine and Stuart Lindsay – three engineers who worked together for an engineering business in the South West and shared a common passion for finding solutions for customers whilst providing first class client service.

The three engineers had always yearned to work for themselves and so decided to take the plunge 2 years ago.

After a few weeks of planning, they founded ASK and located premises to rent on the Lynx Trading Estate in Yeovil, a town with a fine engineering heritage, home to several of the region’s largest engineering businesses.

The company grew rapidly from a standing start and is now home to a number of blue chip customers.

The early success was rewarded when the company scooped the Excellence in Business award at the prestigious Western Gazette Business Award event held in June 2017.

The firm now employs 7 members of staff and is looking to take on additional employees with the potential of moving to larger premises to accommodate new projects.

‘Gilbie Roberts have provided us with great support from day one. I know I will get a quick and helpful response to telephone or email queries. They come and see us every month and help with the VAT returns, management accounts and payroll as well as making sure we operate the business in a tax efficient manner. The year-end accounts are ready within a few weeks of the year end and being this up to date really helps with decision making. I know that the firm are always on our side and will do their utmost to help the firm develop further’.  

ASK are currently embarking on a ground breaking research and development project the results of which we’re hugely excited to see. We’re delighted to continue to work together as two growing, local businesses to enable even more development and success for the excellent ASK Engineering Solutions.
